September 23-29 - Steve was on a prayerful adventure in Georgia. Two days in Flowery Branch with family, exploring the areas nearby. Two days in Atlanta with a friend from a long long time ago. And two days in Athens spying out the land as to what the Lord might be saying to us. It was an amazing trip!!!
Here is Scott (Steve's nephew) video taping as we looked at homes and areas in the corridor between Flowery Branch and Athens. Oh ya, notice how green everything is? Steve arrived right after the two century storm! Apparently, the drought is officially over!

Fire Ants are a real problem. They are really small but have a fiery bite!

Scott & Steve stopped for lunch in Athens at The Varsity. Honestly, we were not impressed!!! It is not even close to In-N-Out!

Stef & Jimmy's new home (literally) in Flowery Branch. They had just moved in that week and Stef had done an amazing job unpacking EVERYTHING. By the way, it has a huge lawn to mow!

We had a little birthday party for Haley. Jonah and Hunter helped her open her gifts.

Steve caught up with Mark, from our Seal Beach days. Mark is currently working on his Ph.D in philosophy at Emory (Atlanta), where he also teaches.

Steve & Mark had a great re-connection, and are looking forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for us all in this next season.

The last few days were spent in Athens, the home of the University of Georgia (UGA). Steve spent lots of time prayer walking the campus, exploring the area and meeting with several pastors. This is definitely where God is leading us! Oh by the way, Steve took this pic of himself in front of the UGA football stadium while talking with Shellie. WHY SO SERIOUS?

Steve was invited into the home and hearts of the pastors of Athens Vineyard (Kyle and Robin). We so look forward to getting to know them better in the days to come and seeing where it goes from there!!!

The clock has begun ticking and we are moving forward. We are hoping to be there by early next year.
