Blairsville, GA

December 27 - January 1, 2012 - We got the opportunity to get away for a week. Everything converged to allow this to happen.... Deron & Prestin out of school, Steve had a week off, and Ken & Pam could watch grandma!!! So we headed to a mountain cabin in North Georgia.

 One day we took a ride looking for Brasstown Bald, the tallest spot in Georgia. Our GPS mislead us so we decided to go to North Carolina instead! We found Shellie's now favorite shop, Moose Hollow!

 December 24 - After the Compass Christmas services at the Classic Center, we had a little celebration at our home, just the five of us!!! With grandma in bed, we had a party. First a feast of delightful treats standing around a table in the kitchen. Then onto open our pressies for each other. It is hard to tell, but Steve has a bow tie on!

 Prestin got a violin, something he has wanted to take up for years. Josh is going to give him lessons. Btw, Josh is an amazing violinist who is currently working on his doctorate in violin at UGA.

Deron got a bundle of money to put toward a saxophone (arrived after Christmas) 

 Jasen got a Asus netbook. He was a happy camper!!!

 After our pressies, we went downstairs and watched a Christmas movie (Die Hard). Finally got to bed around 3am. Awesome time with our family!!!
