With One Voice

During the summer months we have done With One Voice twice a month. W1V is Flipside's night when in the context of worship we pray for a couple hours. On August 3rd Prestin made his debut at W1V (and he did great!), and Deron drummed. Aaron was on keyboard co-leading with Steve. Brad bassed and Alisha sang her heart out! A sweet night!!!Steve borrowed a hat from Aaron so help keep the in-ear monitors in his ears! Our theme for this night was "Lost in His Presence"

Garage Sale

August 1 - A tangible step forward: Our garage sale (more will be coming) cleared out a whole heap of stuff. Shellie, Pam & Ken and Gene & Wanda hosted this busy event at K& P's place. Steve was at home supervising grandma. A perfect day... slightly overcast amd lots of penny sales!

The garden 2 years later

It is amazing what two years can do in a garden! When we arrived here the yard was desolute, barren, dusty and basically just a desert motif. It has gone from an eye sore to an oasis. The birds and the bees love it! I will just let the picture speak for themselves.

Ken's 60th

Though it wasn't actually on the date (like several two weeks late), we celebrated Ken's 60th birthday party in their Alta Loma home. A year from now things will look oh so different! Ken showing off some of his new gear! Prestin & Shellie By the way, we also celebrated Gene's (Pam's dad) birthday.

A New Day of Dreaming

July 20th, 2009 marked our 2 year anniversary since arriving back in the USA. Over these two years we primarily cared for Steve's aging mom and ministered as much as we could at our local church, Flipside. This day marked a new beginning. We are ready to dream and risk again! God has brought so much healing in our lives. As such Steve shaved his head as a prophetic act. With the first snip of the chippers he was committed!Going! Going...There were pleas to not stop at the Bozo look! Now just the back!
Buzz complete!
Once the chipping was complete out came the razor and that was painful!
Presenting the new hairless Steve! Kind of looks like Captian Picard in Star Trek.
