Gifts to Fowler Drive Teachers

December 14 - The teachers at Fowler Drive Elementary were blown away by the beautifully wrapped gifts we lovingly presented to each one of them. The gifts were filled with things like electric pencil sharpeners, white board markers, breakfast bars (things that they normally provide for their students out of their own pockets) and a gift card for them.
Shellie was way involved in the whole process of getting these Christmas gifts into the teachers hands!
And Jasen helped assemble the pretty pressies!
Loading them up... Andy & Mitchell were there to throw in a hand!
Jim bringing a handful into the teachers party!
 As did Jasen...
 As did Andy & Steve...
Elves stopping for a photo shoot!
Steve thanked the teachers for investing in the next generation!
And introduced some of the staff at Compass.
Jim also shared about how much we appreciate each of the teachers' sacrifice!
Thirty four teachers and some faculty saying thanks to us for partnering with them during the year!
If you are counting... not all the teachers made it outside for this photo.

Adopting Fowler Drive Families

December 13 - Delivery day of our gifts to the children & parents (total of 50) of some of the most needy families at Fowler Drive Elementary. Individuals at Compass adopted these families to make sure they had a very special Christmas. They bought uniforms, shoes, jackets, educational games and more. Here are some of them before we loaded up our vehicles and headed over to the school.
Shellie checking the list to make sure all the gifts had come in, and they hadn't! She had to chase them down. Of course Shellie was heavily involved in this operation, and loving it!!!

Mobile Food Pantry

December 7 - One of the poorest most needy schools in our city is Fowler Drive Elementary. Compass has partnered with them to help make a difference. We hosted a mobile food pantry and was able to provide much need food parcels for 300 families! Yes, Grandma was quite entertained with all the activity! Here is just a snap shot of this exciting opportunity!
The ladies getting all the paper work in order. Meanwhile the truck was VERY late. We finally got through to the depot and they were loading the truck over thirty minutes after it should have been delivered. Then the driver went to the wrong school... Anyways, the truck was over an hour late and as we waited cars began to line up.
The truck finally arrives!
