American Football

November 28 - Lately Deron & Steve have been playing a bit of catch and kicking the football. It is still a new experience. Oh yeah, notice the leaves are changing colors and there is some snow in the mountains from our lil winter blast. First rain and cool temps we have had in ages!

Marshall Canyon

November 17 - Aaron Whitehead introduced Steve to Marshall Canyon, a mountain bike adventureland. Cutting across a flowing creek underneath dense growth or trees and shrubs, pressing up steep hills then sudden racing downward, being surprised by hidden hairpin turns and simply just loving it all! Today marks one month until we leave for Georgia!!! The late afternoon sun on the hills where we were riding!
On a dusty plateau
Thanks Aaron!!!

Grandma came out to say good bye "to the dogs"!
Ready to go
Buckle 'em up! Outta here!
Back to normality (whatever that is?), for now!

Sifting thru grandma's room

November 06 - Shellie & Pam got into grandma's room to begin sifting through what to take to Georgia, what to sell at the next garage sale and what to give (or throw) away. The amazing thing was grandma actually helped and enjoyed the process!!! PRAISE GOD!!! Pam carefully wrapping up grandma's special treasure to take with us to Georgia.
Walking down memory lane (not Scott & Jenny's street), grandma was able to reminisce about her past.
Meanwhile Ken was sending in applications for employment to hospitals in Georgia. He received his Georgia certification today! Pray for a job!!!
Many hours later, the room was nearly finished. It was a good day!!!

Ken & Pam's last day at Flipside

November 1 - Another milestone... Ken & Pam's last good-byes at Flipside. They have been a part of Flipside even before it became Flipside, and have journeyed with Kev and gang ever since. This photo makes it look like Ken actually wants the mike. But to the contrary, they had skilfully written out a touching farewell speech for Kev to read! Tears flowed as Kev read on!!!
Then we gathered around them to pray over them and send them off on this wonderful adventure in the Name of Jesus!
Farewell Ken & Pam!

The rest of us Smith's won't be too far behind!
