March 27 - Just about two hours drive south of Athens is a town called Macon. Each year they hold a cherry blossom festival, boasting over 300,000 Yoshino Cherry Trees from Japan. I suppose we were expecting these trees to be all together at some sort of park. But apparently they are scattered all over the city. And I don't think we saw them all. What we found was like a flea market, with stalls set up all over the place. We're talking hundreds of these vendors. Though it wasn't was we expected, it was sure a fun day!!!

Proof there were actually cherry blossom trees!
In fact, if you can read the sign, you would be able to see that this guy, William Arthor Flicking planted some 170,000 of these trees himself!!!
Even Prestin got into the photo taking scene!
Stunning, even if we couldn't find the over 300,000 of them!
Lunch time!
Jasen just spontaneously burst out in a prayer!
Grandma looks like it's freezing, but it actually was beautiful day!
After lunch we continued to walk about the city!

The less than 300,000 trees that we saw were very pretty!

These flowers were even painted on the sidewalks!

Check out this cool Ford truck that got in front of us on our way home. It was pretty cool until we realised that it also drove pretty slow and we got to enjoy it's back side for quite awhile!!!
