June 07 - On the eve of our 26th anniversary (married June 8th, 1984) we got away for the day and enjoyed some time, just the two of us. We dropped grandma at Ken & Pam's before heading off for some refreshing time together.

To Lake Lanier Island
Just to explore together
It's simply a lovely place.
Crossing the bridge
We stopped at Legacy Lodge and thought how fun it would be to get a few nights here! Maybe some day!?
We discovered that Lake Lanier Island hosts many weddings, with the beautiful backdrop of water, trees and nature.
Here is a beach and water park we walked by.
And some ferocious statues.
From the vehicle, more nature!
And with any such island, there is lots of water!

We finished our time out with dinner at Chili's! Here is Shellie enjoying our appetizer - thin onion and jalepeno rings.
