A few days in North Carolina

March 12-16 -  It has been an intense few months! With Spring break everything converged allowing us to get away for a few days. Prestin & Deron  had a week off from college (though not the homework!), grandma was able to stay with Ken & Pam (thanks K&P), and Steve could get away from Compass. So up to a North Carolina cabin we went. Lots of sleep, amazingly great eats and a very slow pace!!!
 Brekkie and checkers
 Siesta
The cabin was on a hill, in the mountains.
We even had time to finish a puzzle that had been started two years earlier!
Deron reading, and reading and... enjoying the sun!
 Prestin relaxing!
Out for a hike up the gravel roads that lead up to the cabins.Very steep!
Like I said, steep! How would you like this for your driveway? This was the end of the road!
And I did say we had some amazingly yummy food. Here is just one of the gourmet meals we enjoyed. An apple wood smoked burger with lots of tasty bits. We are definitely fans of delicious flavors!
 Shellie with her tasty masterpiece!
 Then siesta time!
 And back to reading...
 And back to the puzzle...
 Puzzling indeed!
 A puzzling family affair!
Prestin making origami things...
 ...on the wall!
 And the puzzle continued!
Finally we finished it before we had to go (in the wee hours of the morning), and could you believe it, there was one piece missing!?
 One piece!!!
Sunrise from the cabin deck the morning we had to return to the "real" world!
