Road Trip - DAY 8

December 24 - Lillian (AL) to Flowery Branch (GA)
-
Christmas Eve, our last day of driving. This time instead of traveling over water, we drove through it. It had rained all night and nearly all the way on us. The rain made of an intense drive. The walkie talkies that Alex encouraged us to use really made a difference (thanks again Alex). Here Deron and Purlie are ready for the day as we disembark one last time! It was slow and tedious at first.
Oh yeah, Purlie didn't mind the rain!
Rainy Alabama freeway
Purlie says, "No drama!"
Passing into our new home state.
Was it me or were the trees taller & denser and the bush more bushy once we got into Georgia?
Still chilling!
Georgia is sure beautiful!!! We stopped on the south side of Atlanta for a late lunch early dinner at Zaxby's - an awesome chicken restuarant!
Driving through Atlanta.
By the way, this is the exit for Georgia Tech where Prestin would love to attend. Yep, Shellie took a lot of these photos!
Heading northward from Atlanta
Entering Flowery Branch, the home of the Atlanta Falcons and our new home for at least a few weeks! Driving up to Ken & Pam's home. They were there waiting for us on the entry steps! We have arrived!!!
Now unloading the goods. Slinky took a beating during all the rain and was no longer poking straight out!
No worries, he straightened right up! Slinky was happy to get the wet clothes off of him. Here he is in his new location, at least for how!
Thank you everyone for praying for us while trekking across the southern part of this nation. We totally know that God's protective hand was over us as we travelled the nearly 3000 miles.
