Our new home in Athens Georgia!

January 12 - Originally we were planning to rent a home near our family in Flowery Branch and commute to Athens to begin building relationships for ministry. But the Lord had other plans. Instead He opened up the way for us to rent a place in Athens. And it is so freeing for us. So now we are commuting to family things once a week (about an hour away) and are able to dive into life and ministry in Athens in this present season. Here are the pics before we moved in! Deron & Prestin checking out the huge deck in the back. It has an unfinished basement, that was totally stinky because of a water leak. It required much cleaning and several weeks of two dehumidifiers operating to get the smell and dampness out! Nevertheless this is an awesome room!!! The side entry is actually the primary entry! So when you come to visit please come through this door!
The other (formal )entry!
The front room has a beautiful fireplace and lots of windows over looking a wooded backyard! The future location of grandma's world! It has an amazingly beautiful view to our wooded front. We just need to put up doors and blinds! Jasen's to-be room! Jasen and Prestin have shared a room for something like the past 6 years! They are both looking forward to having their own space!
This formal dining area will become our office space.

  1. The house is beautiful and I can imagine how much more relaxed due to space. Get use to tornado warnings......
