Pipe bursting excitement

January 09 - A phone call from Jenny set us to action. Scott was at work and a water pipe burst, flooding their doorstairs. Jenny was amazing! She didn't panic. After calling us she found the main water valve and turned it off. When we arrived, we simply helped clean up the mess before Jamie came over and did the real plumbing work. Oh yeah, it burst because of the very cold (or should I say freezing) temps we have been having!!! Ken is all dressed for action, and it really was cold (he doesn't just look that way)! Water seeped into their room downstairs next to the garage where the pipe burst. They purchased a dehumidifier and in a matter of a week it was good to go again!!!
After tearing the panels off the wall in the garage the source of the problem was discovered. A thin PVC pipe connecting the outside faucet to the house water burst thanks to the freezing weather we have been having. Thanks to Scott's friend Jamie, the pipe was quickly fixed.
